Women likely to feel less hungry after intense workout than men, says study
A new study has found that switching up your exercise routine naturally makes you less hungry, and women may benefit from it more than men.
Overeating always has unpleasant consequences. Apart from packing pounds, people who excessively indulge in food, especially unhealthy, are more prone to mental health issues. If you’re struggling to maintain a healthy diet, high-intensity working could help you strike a balance.

Intense workout can make you feel less hungry
A small study published in the Journal of the Endocrine Society found that intense workout is particularly effective in suppressing the “hunger hormone” ghrelin, compared to moderate ones.
The researchers found that people who work out intensely feel less hungry than those who don’t, and the effects were seen immediately after exercising.
Another interesting observation from the study notes women benefit more from intense workout than men with respect to losing weight as the levels of hunger hormones significantly reduced in female participants.

The researchers suggest treating exercise as “drugs”, where each “dose” should be customized based on an individuals personal goals.
“Our research suggests that high-intensity exercise may be important for appetite suppression, which can be particularly useful as part of a weight loss program,” said Kara Anderson, the lead author of the study.
Women and men should eat different breakfast to lose weight
Another study led by researchers from the University of Waterloo found that women and men should eat different breakfasts to lose weight.
As women store more body fat than their male counterpart, a breakfast rich in healthy fats is more powertful is shedding pounds.
However, a male body burns carbs more effectively than fat. The results of the model suggest that women store more fat immediately after a meal but also burn more fat during a fast, the study claims.
If you’re a woman trying to lose weight through exercise, a fitness coach recommends against running, although she doesn’t say it’s unhealthy.
You can continue to jog daily if you enjoy it, but taking up other exercises alongside could be more beneficial to lose weight.
