Woman with severe allergies has three strict rules for men who want to kiss her
People with severe allergies don’t just have to avoid eating or touching those foods, they need to be careful about who they kiss too.
A woman who gets potentially fatal allergic reactions has taken to TikTok to share the strict list of rules men have to follow if they want to smooch her.

Woman with allergies has strict kissing rules
Caroline Cray has Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), a condition that causes you to experience the symptoms of anaphylaxis, a life-threatening allergic reaction, as well as other allergic symptoms such as hives, swelling, low blood.
This occurs because the mast cells which are responsible for immediate allergic reactions stop working properly, causing allergic reactions all the time, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology explains.
She can only eat two foods which don’t trigger a reaction, hypoallergenic formula and oats, and even kissing a man who has eaten certain foods could cause anaphylaxis, where the throat and tongue swell and it becomes difficult to breathe.
So, any man who wants to kiss her has to follow these strict rules:
- They can’t have any of her six main anaphylactic allergens within 24 hours of kissing her including peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, kiwi, mustard and seafood.
- They can’t eat anything at all three hours prior to kissing her. This gives the protein enough time to break down in the saliva.
- They must also brush their teeth before kissing her.
Ignoring these rules can cause allergic reactions
The woman explained that she has had some “minor reactions” when kissing men who haven’t strictly followed these rules.
“My mouth will get itchy, my lips and my tongue will get itchy and as soon as I feel that I immediately stop,” she said.
Other symptoms she has experienced include flushing and head rush. She then has to brush her teeth and take emergency medication.
However, the MCAS doesn’t stop her from enjoying life.
“Kissing boys is definitely a risk that invites potential instability into my life but honestly so does everyday life for me,” she explained.
The woman is also allergic to cats and dogs and said it’s a risk to just leave the house, so kissing isn’t any more dangerous than other activities.
“I could be lying down on the beach sunbathing and then all of a sudden a dog comes up and licks my face. Immediate anaphylaxis,” she said. “But I’m not going to not go to the beach just because I’m scared of the worst scenario.”
“In that same vein, I could completely avoid kissing and just live in a bubble when it comes to relationships, but I choose to take little calculated risks so I can live a full and happy life.”
The kissing rules do have one positive
Cray revealed there is one positive to these kissing rules. It’s a “cheat code to dating” that immediately weeds out any guys who don’t care or are just messing you around.
“If they have to follow a few rules to be able to kiss you, then they obviously care, they’re obviously interested and they’re willing to put in a good amount of effort,” she said.
