Woman finds secret room in ‘creepy basement’ of her 200-year-old home
A TikTok user recently opened up about discovering a secret room in the basement of her 200-year-old home and the finding was not what she expected.
Some houses tend to have a deep secret that is not discovered until years later. Something similar happened with @mysteeipong TikTok user who realized there was more to her house than she thought.
TikTok user discovers a secret room
TikTok user @mysteeipong acknowledged that her 200-year-old home came with a ‘creepy basement’, but little did she know that there was a secret room that was covered with a brick wall.
The social media user noticed this after finding a leak due to the water backing up in the basement. After finding a closed-up door, the couple decided to investigate it further by bringing the right tools.
Luckily they are cinder blocks so they are hollow on the inside, we got through the first part but we have yet to get through the second part. The reason why we havent been able to get through is because this room is filled with rocks,” the user noted.

People speculate what the room could be
Seeing the video, several people expressed their thoughts in the comment section. One user wrote: “Girl! 200 year old house? It def might be an Underground Railroad passage.” Another wrote: “You definitely do not open the door It has obviously been closed off for a reason just back away.”
“Dont go in! Move! They literally have a movie like this Barbarian,” read one more comment. “Enter with sage, holy water all the things,” said one user. “What in the Amityville horror…. need to move,” read a comment.
“This looks so similar to the basement of the house I grew up in! It was terrifying to go into. There was also a coal room,” said a user. “Could be a prohibition tunnel but explore so so carefully with many people,” stated a user.
What we know about the room
In the last video, the TikTok user stated that they were unable to fully discover what was inside as it was covered with rocks. However, she does believe that the room could have been connected to a tunnel.
She said: “I didnt know that my house had ties to the underground railroad. We looked up Clarkson and sure enough, eight minutes away there is a station.
