Little did a TikTok user know she would jeopardize one of the most memorable moments of her life when she asked her boyfriend if she could see his phone. This is why dating experts tell you not to snoop on your partner’s devices.
The ebb and flow of relationships and dating are unavoidable, but a breach of privacy is considered a huge violation of boundaries. Although the boyfriend of the TikTok user whose story we are discussing today was more than happy to show his phone to his girlfriend, he instantly regrets his decision.

This is the classic case of a prank gone wrong. TikTok user Samm of Samm and Jordan thinks it would be funny to see her boyfriend’s reaction by asking him if she could check his phone without telling him why.
Jordan is gaming on the VR in the viral video with more than 800,000 views when she asks him for his phone. He pulls it out of his pocket and hands it over to his girlfriend without asking any questions.
Samm is surprised at first because she doesn’t expect her boyfriend to give away his phone without any hesitancy. He even spells his password aloud when she asks him to unlock it for her.

Samm then asks her boyfriend if she can “go through anything” on his phone, to which he replies “Yes, babe.” When she swipes the screen, she sees several Google results for images of engagement rings along with the price.
It seems Jordan quickly realizes he could have the tab he didn’t want his girlfriend to see open and asks for his phone back to close it. But, his girlfriend tells him that she “saw it”, referring to the Google search for diamond rings.
Jordan looked disappointed because it was supposed to be a surprise and Samm wasn’t supposed to look at that. But, it was too late as his girlfriend’s prank had already backfired.
TikTok users think she “ruined” the best surprise of her life
Fellow users are either laughing at Samm’s prank that went horribly wrong or sympathizing with her for possibly ruining the most memorable day of her life by looking up her man’s search history.
One wrote, “Damn girl, proposal ruined,” while another user joked: “Make her wait for another year lad.”
A third user said: “Awww…that’s so sad. That just ruined your boyfriend’s plan.”
It isn’t clear from the videos posted to Samm and Jordan’s channel after the above incident if the latter still went ahead with the proposal as there isn’t any update on the same. But, their fans sure wish to see them together.
