Woman captures moment she plunges from extreme height on obstacle course in the air
A woman captured the moment she fell from a great height, but after learning of the backstory behind the viral moment, some social media users feel lied to.
Though TikTok is bustling with noteworthy videos like the scary truth about facial fillers, it’s also the land of strange trends and even stranger content creators. Just recently, and for some unknown reason, some have taken to putting temporary tattoos on their hair.
Viewers were on the edge of their seats
Earlier this week, Dory (@dorydonwory) posted a video to TikTok that instantly inspired a fear of heights in social media users. Seriously, they hadn’t been that worried since the Alaska Airlines flight back in January.
In the short clip, Dory could be seen suspended in the air above what appeared to be an adventure playpark of some kind. Though she was strapped in with all the appropriate safety gear, disaster struck when it seemingly broke.
The camera spun to the ground, landing with a thud, while Dory flew out of the frame. Naturally, TikTok users sped to the comments for further details.
“Uh HELLO?? are you okay?????” one person questioned, as another said, “&&&.. okay I am so sorry this happened. Hoping you are okay and have a speedy recovery.”
Someone else said: “I thought the phone fell THEN I SAW YOU WERE NOT UP THERE ANYMORE.”
Everything is not as it seems
Despite the 12.5 million views and 1.2 million likes, Dory left her audience waiting for a response as many feared she was seriously hurt. Thankfully, in a video uploaded 24 hours later, Dory shattered the TikTok reality.
In the clip, which was taken from the ground, Dory could be seen attached to a second rope that pulled her into a swinging motion once the other had let her go. She was absolutely fine, and no doubt feeling pretty proud at the prank of the century.
“I have never been betrayed this badly,” one person said, as another wrote, “GIRL I WAS SO SCARED FOR U.”
