What time does Universal Studios' 2021 Halloween Horror Nights start?

As Halloween draws closer, Universal Studios has once again opened its doors for its popular horror nights. While many attend the parks after hours to take part in the spooky festivities, some have wondered what time the 2021 Halloween Horror Nights start at Universal Studios Orlando and Hollywood.

What time does Halloween Horror Nights 2021 start at Universal Studios?

The Halloween Horror Nights are said to kick off at 6:30 pm in Universal Studios Orlando and 7 pm in Universal Studios Hollywood.

According to the Orlando Informer, early admission is possible in Universal Studios Orlando for those already in the park as they can check-in to holding areas across the park at around 5pm. A similar process is also followed at Universal Studios Hollywood, who can enter early from 6 pm.

The nights are said to typically run for around six hours until 1 am, with October nights running an hour later than September events.

How long are Halloween Horror Nights 2021 on for?

Universal Studios Orlando’s horror-themed nights began last month from 3 September and are set to end on the night of Halloween (31 October). Universal Studios Hollywood started a couple of days later on the 9 October and will end on the same night.

In past years, the timings of the horror nights seem to differ. In 2019 the Orlando event ran from 6 September to 2 November, while 2018’s event was from 14 September to 3 November.

This year marks the 30th year since Universal Studios Orlando started the Halloween tradition, having first put the event on in 1991. The Halloween event in Universal Studios Hollywood has been running annually since 2006 having previously held events in the early 1990s and 2000s.

What are other parks are hosting Halloween events?

Universal Studios is not the only park to be celebrating Halloween, Disney is also honouring the spooky season as there are currently events going on across their parks.

Disney World, which is also based in Orlando, Florida, is currently hosting its own Halloween event, which started in August. The Disney After Hours Boo Bash started on 10 August and is set to also end on Halloween night.

In Disneyland’s Anaheim, California park, there is also the Oogie Boogie Bash which runs from 9 September to 31 October.
