Walmart is coming for Raising Cane’s with another release after dipping sauce dupe success

Watch out Raising Cane’s because Walmart is out for blood, or dipping sauce, with the release of their very “famous” chicken tenders.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, known simply as Raising Cane’s, is a fast-food restaurant initially opened in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As you might have gathered, the eatery has made a name for itself by creating succulent chicken dishes. Arguably the crowning jewel of the establishment is the dipping sauce, which you can also make at home.

New product alert at Walmart

Popular Instagram food page Snackolator (@Snackolator), who earlier teased the new Blizzards at Dairy Queen, took to social media on Monday where he teased new chicken fingers from Walmart.

“The Cane’s Sauce dupe came out about two months ago and is still sold out in many locations due to the coverage, but these Famous Chicken Fingers are not being subtle that they’re coming for Cane’s,” he penned. “Both packages feature crinkle-cut fries which is a Cane’s staple, but if you look at the Chicken Fingers it includes crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, and dipping sauce. Sound familiar?”

The sauce came out back in April, and while it’s not an official Raise Cane’s dipping sauce, it tastes eerily similar and bears the same unique color.

“I tried the @walmart sauce when it came out and I have to say it’s really close – maybe a little sweeter and more ketchupy than the original, but definitely close,” he added.

The chicken fingers themselves have the word “famous” preceding them, making it glaringly obvious that they are hoping to tap into Raising Cane’s customer base. The Walmart chicken fingers are currently priced at $12.73.

They taste very similar, by some accounts

If you find yourself unable to get to Raising Cane’s, then the Walmart chicken tenders could easily fill in, according to some reviews.

Underneath the Instagram post, one person wrote: “The tenders, theyre OK for tenders but not close if youre trying to compare them, in my opinion. The dipping sauce is worth it for under $3 though since Im not going to Canes and spending $10 for a cup of sauce to come home, bottle, and refrigerate lol.”

“I thought I was the only one who thought these taste like canes bro,” another wrote.

A third said: “The chicken fingers are restaurant quality, definitely the best I’ve got from the frozen section.”
