Verbalase turns off comments on YouTube following Hazbin Hotel animation drama

YouTuber and beatboxer Verbalase has turned off his YouTube comments after he splashed out a massive amount of money on an NSFW Hazbin Hotel animation.

Verbalase, full named Adym Evans, is a YouTuber and influencer with a well-celebrated vocal skill. He often posts content around his beatboxing and rapping for his 5.45 million followers, many of whom applaud him in the comments. That was until he turned them off.

Why did Verbalase go viral for Hazbin Hotel?

Last week, Verbalase hit the headlines after it was rumored he funded a saucy animation of himself for a staggering $50,000. The clip featured a character from the upcoming R-rated animated show, Hazbin Hotel, which follows demon princess Charlie as she attempts to get evildoers into heaven.

In the video, an animated rendering of the streamer is teleported to hell where Charlie, voiced by Elsie Lovelock in the show, stalks and chases him into her bedroom. From here, she ties him up and strips him down before getting undressed herself.

The two-minute clip quickly went viral, as many fans simply wondered why.

The plot thickens

Following the initial story, and after several days of trending on Twitter, Verbalase seemingly turned off his comments on his most recent video. As reported by a number of other YouTube accounts, this was following a slurry of messages mocking Verbalase for the raunchy animation video.

The shows creator, Vivienne VivziePop Medrano, also addressed the viral clip on her Twitter account. She simply posted a meme from the show Veep reading: (laughing nervously) What the f**K?

What is Hazbin Hotel?

Set to arrive on Amazon Prime on January 19, Hazbin Hotel is an adult animation initially published on YouTube in 2019. Following the pilot’s overwhelming success, with a whopping 93 million views and counting, the show was picked up by Amazon Studios and A24.

The series revolves around Charlie Morningstar, princess of Hell, on her quest to find a way for demons to be rehabilitated and allowed into Heaven. She opens a rehabilitation hotel offering demons a chance at redemption and to be better people, the plot reads.

The cast also includes the vocal work of Michael Kovach, Encantos Stephanie Beatriz, Keith David, Blake Roman and Erika Henningsen.

Fans are already pumped for the show

Because the pilot came out over two years ago, the show has developed its own dedicated fan base. Most, if not all of them, are also fans of the spin-off, Helluva Boss.

Taking to X, formally known as Twitter, just days before the release, one person gushed: This is so amazing! Already loving Chaggie so much! The best Power couple in Hell!!!

I would give up all of my worldly possessions for her, another person admitted about Charlie, as someone else said, Alastor is my spirit demon.
