Twisted trick to ‘pull’ someone way out of your league goes viral on TikTok
If you think your crush is way out of your league, a self-proclaimed dating guru on TikTok has come up with a trick that can supposedly help you “pull” anyone.
Dating in the present day isn’t the same as it was a few years ago. With easy access to technology, it’s become simpler for people to ghost one another without having to deal with any real issues or situations. So, if you happen to feel strongly about someone who could have control over you, the TikTok user says she has an effective solution.
What is the ‘Turn Tables method’ and how does it work?
This trick isn’t conventional and some may also find it “toxic”. But, TikTok user Annabelle Gesson thinks it can help you with your situation.
The viral video with more than 600,000 views begins with her explaining the meaning of someone being out of your league – essentially being in a situation where the other person “wears the pants.”
According to Annabelle, you can turn the tables in a few (debatable) steps.
- You need to have the person you want to try the trick on, on Snapchat and the two of you must be ‘Snapchatting’. Any other social media app with similar features would work as well.
- Ask them to send a “good photo” of themself out of the blue, saying you want to show it to a friend.
- Once they’ve sent their best picture to you, you will stop responding and leave their message at read.
According to Annabelle, this would prompt the person on the other end to present their best version to you because you’re training them subconsciously to meet certain standards by simply asking for a “good photo”.
And, when you refrain from replying, they tend to crave your validation, and that’s how the tables are turned.
It’s hard to tell whether the trick would produce the same result for all, but the TikTok user claims it will surely play games with their minds due to the lack of response from your end that would leave them hanging.

It seems each individual was met with a different reaction when they tried the Turn Tables method on their crushes, and some of the experiences are extremely funny.
“I did this and then I got blocked,” said one user, when another added: “GUYS HELP IT BACKFIRED I didn’t say anything after he sent the pic and he said: ‘So I really left you speechless huh.’
“My ex did that to me, but I was out of his league. It made me feel very insecure,” shared one user.
Questioning the theory about attracting your crush who isn’t as attracted to you, one user said: “If theyre out of our league they would leave you on delivered&so if they even open, it means not out of your league.”
