TikTok’s ‘Corporate Erin’ sums up office life perfectly with relatable skits
A TikTok user is cracking people up with her alter ego ‘Corporate Erin’ – a character everyone in the professional world knows.
She represents that one annoying woman in the office who uses a passive-aggressive tone and acts like the world revolves around her.

Meet ‘Corporate Erin’ on TikTok
Erin was created by Lisa Beasley, a woman from Indiana who has more than 300,000 followers on TikTok and describes herself as an actor and “satirical clown”. She started sharing videos using the corporate voice in 2021, but didn’t name the character ‘Corporate Erin’ until years later.
The alter ego is the “manager for the managerial logistics of management at McManagement” and sums up office life perfectly. She’s a patronizing woman who uses office jargon that everyone who works in the corporate world has met at some point in their life.
Lisa’s hilarious skits poke fun at the office life millions endure every week in a hilarious way that’s really entertaining – but also very real.

We asked Beasley what her inspiration was behind the character, and she refused to respond as herself. However, Coprorate Erin Told The Focus: “Being introduced to the world in 2021 and blowing up on TikTok in 2023 wasn’t on my corporate bingo card this year.”
“But it is my obligation to speak for Lisa while she’s on sabbatical,” she continued jokingly. “Lisa has worked as a freelancer in the corporateworld for every single industry sector there could be and everywhere, there was a ‘me.’ Thenk yew.”
She went viral in November 2023
The TikTok user’s videos took off in November 2023 with a hilarious skit titled: “Corporate Erin explains why she is here.”
She mimics an office meeting and explains that she’s joining the company because another member of staff is on sabbatical.
Beasley uses funny office jargon, saying things like “she currently doesn’t have the bandwidth” and “some of us have to pick up the slack”.
“In order for us to make sure that this doesn’t turn into a complete dumpster fire, I’m here making sure that all the deliverables get across to you,” she adds.
‘Corporate Erin’ continues her spiel for another few minutes, using far more words than are necessary and speaking a load of nonsense.
She sums up office life perfectly
Social media users instantly related to Erin, with one person writing: “10/10, I immediately zoned out and started doing actually work during the meeting.”
“This is SPOT ON. The corporate accent, the nonsense, the talking for 30 mins and saying NOTHING,” said another.
A third person added: “The corporate accent and cadance.”
“It’s the swallowing for me. Too on point,” someone else commented.
Lisa told HuffPost the character is influenced by lots of corporate freelance jobs she has had where she encountered similar people.
She said the ‘Corporate Erin’ is passive-aggressive, defensive and always makes sure that she drills home her points and objectives.
