Silverado EV makes commercial debut

At the weekend, thousands upon thousands of fans tuned in for Super Bowl LVI. However, one particularly well-received ad from the game has become a talking point too.

In a Sopranos-themed ad, Chevrolet’s first-ever all-electric pickup made it’s commercial debut, and we can’t stop thinking about it.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler, otherwise known as Meadow, re-enacts Tony’s commute from the HBO series’ opening credit, all while advertising the Chevrolet Silverado EV.

Jennifer Hoffman, Chevrolet’s senior manager of marketing and advertising, explained: “After having such a great run in the late 1990s and early 2000s, (The Sopranos is) connecting with the new generation. So it’s seamless for us when we think about this truck … it’s really trying to reach a new segment of people.”

The ad certainly seems to have done the trick.

Chevy Silverado EV price explored

If Chevrolet’s Silverado EV has caught your eye, you’re probably wondering how much it’ll cost you. Allow us to explain.

According to Autocar, the pickup is estimated to start at $39,900. The same outlet says this price is the same as the standard Ford F-150 Lightning, the Silverado EV’s biggest competitor. However, drivers would need to spend extra for the Ford to reach just 300 miles in range.

You can reserve the pickup via Chevrolet’s website. The vehicle will be available in summer 2024. GM will start producing the trucks next year at Factory Zero.

Future variations will offer a range of MSRPs

For now, the Silverado EV is estimated at $39,900, but Chevrolet is expected to offer a range of MSRPs in the future.

According to the brand’s website, future variations will offer a range of MSRPs, from about $50,000 to $60,000, $70,000, $80,000 and more. Pricing will depend on selected battery range and other available features.
