Taco Bell launching giant Cheez-It 16 times bigger than the original crackers

Taco Bell is launching a new collaboration with the cheese cracker brand Cheez-It, and it’s speculated to be arriving really soon.

The new range will include two menu items, both of which involve a giant Cheez-It that’s a whopping 16 times bigger than the original.

Taco Bell’s Cheez-It range

First up is the Cheez-It Tostada, which features a hugeCheez-Itsquare topped with seasoned beef, reduced-fat sour cream, fresh diced tomatoes, crisp lettuce and shredded cheddar cheese.

Then, there’s the Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme, which includes seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, lettuce, reduced-fat sour cream and diced tomatoes, but the tostada shell is swapped for a bigCheez-Itcracker. Then, it’s all wrapped inside a tortilla and grilled.

Both items were tested at one location in Irvine, California in 2022 and were so popular that they sold out in just a few days.

“While this was a one-restaurant test available to our fans while supplies last, its clear that Taco Bell and Cheez-It fans want more of this craveable collaboration!” Taco Bell said at the time. “Even though we cant guarantee that any specific test item will rollout nationwide, at Taco Bell, we never say never!”

Almost two years later, the collaboration was then confirmed to be rolling out nationwide at the fast food brand’s Live Ms LIVE event in Las Vegas in February 2024. The event announced more than 15 new menu items all coming this year.

They said it would be arriving sometime in 2024 but didn’t give an exact date. Now, it appears to be almost time, with some speculating it starts on June 6 – although this hasn’t been confirmed. The Focus has reached out to Taco Bell for comment.

Cheez’It 16 times bigger

Both menu items feature the Cheez-Itsquare you “know and love,” made with 100% real cheese – but it’s 16 times the original size.

When they launched in California two years ago, people were ordering the Cheez-It on its own to try the giant cracker without all the toppings.

“There are few things that everyone can agree on&but the iconic flavors from Taco Bell menu items and Cheez-It snacks appeal to all,” said Liz Matthews, Taco Bells Chief Food Innovation Officer in 2022.

“Were thrilled about this new concept with Cheez-It, which gives our fans the chance to experience the real cheese and crunch they love from both of our brands in a whole new way.

It comes as Taco Bell just launched the new $5 Discovery Box, a combo meal with three different tacos and a drink. They are also testing two exciting new menu items in even more locations.
