Stranger takes 99-year-old veteran to Disneyland in tear-jerking act of kindness
A video of a man stopping a 99-year-old veteran on the street and taking him to Disneyland is melting everyone’s hearts.
Despite being complete strangers, the pair had the best day together, and the adorable clip is a real tear-jerker.

Man takes 99-year-old veteran to Disneyland
Isaiah Garza is an internet sensation and philanthropist who surprises random people with money and experiences. He used to be homeless and grew up in poverty, so now uses his earnings to treat others.
In the TikTok clip, he is walking along the road when he spots a 99-year-old man with a walking frame. Garza stops him and asks: “Hi, how are you doing?”
“Not too bad, how are you doing?” he replies, to which the internet star then asks if he wants to take a trip to Disneyland.
“Sorry to bother you. I’ve had a really really rough day and I just wanted to see if you’d be willing to go to Disneyland with me today?” he says.
The elderly veteran is delighted and replies instantly in surprise: “Hey, that’s great. You really would take me? Oh my god I can’t believe this.”
Two complete strangers have the best day
It then cuts to a clip of them both at the Disney theme park and it’s the first time the 99-year-old has been on a ride in over 50 years.
The elderly man is grinning from ear to ear as he waves at others on the teacup ride, wears a pair of Mickey Mouse ears and meets some of the characters including The Mad Hatter and Goofy.
“We became best friends for the day and we danced like it was 1955,” Garza wrote.
The veteran was ecstatic, calling it was one of the “best days of his life” and adding that it all felt like a dream.
He then started tearing up as he said: “I thought my life was over. I’ll remember this day for a long time. You don’t know how much I appreciate this.”

The importance of small acts of kindness
The video is making people emotional, with one person commenting: “Why did I just cry so hard over this? This is amazing.”
“This is my favourite video on the internet,” said another.
However, it’s not just a cute internet video. The clip spreads a much deeper message about how important small acts of kindness are. By making kind gestures, you can improve both your own /well-being /and/ the happiness of others around you.
We all have so much going on/in our lives/ that it’s easy to push kindness to one side, but taking the time to help others and do good can really make a difference. As explained by the Mental Health Foundation acts of kindness have so many benefits including:
- Helping others feels good
- Creating a sense of belonging
- Reducing isolation
- Helping to keep things in perspective
- Making the world a better place
You don’t have to take someone to Disneyland, but even just holding a door open or helping someone take their groceries to the car when they are struggling can make the world of difference.
