South Carolina man bravely fights off a coyote to save his pet Chihuahua
A South Carolina man is being hailed a “hero” for jumping to rescue his pet pooch from a coyote and bravely grabbing the wild animal by its tail after fighting it off.
Timothy Snipe of Mount Pleasant has been featured in the news after the ring camera footage capturing the terrifying moment went viral on social media as devoted pet parents admired the man’s brave act.

Timothy was in the backyard with his pet Roxie, when the pup turned towards the woods and started to bark.
The man couldn’t tell why his pup was barking until she started to run in the direction opposite to him. Timothy runs after her only to find a coyote approaching her, all of which is captured on the camera.
The man didn’t think twice before throwing himself between the wild animal and his pet Chihuahua and the video shows the coyote going for his legs.
“I knew I couldve been alright, even if I wouldve gotten bit and gotten rabies or something, but if she had gotten bit, it was over,”�he shared.

“The coyote jumped on me and bit me on my leg, and I wrestled it down, I choked him out,” Timothy added.
After fighting it off, Timothy grabs it by the tail and puts it in a dumpster. But the video shows the aggressive animal pushing the lid forcefully to get out after being dumped. The animal control reportedly took care of the coyote.
He would do it all over again to save his little ‘girl’
What makes Timothy a devoted dog dad is the fact that he isn’t afraid to come face-to-face with another coyote if need be. He seems fine in the interviews filmed a few days after the attack; he got nine rabies shots for the leg bite.
He told the news network that he would do the same things “over again” if Roxie was in danger, despite the horrific encounter.
“Once you get a pet, theyre automatically a part of the family and this is my girl, this is our girl,” he shared. And, Roxie also has a spikey vest on to ensure wild animals stay away from her.
Coyotes are notorious for attacking pet dogs. A few days ago, an incident similar to the one above caught on the CCTV camera took social media users by surprise.
