Sociopath’s highly manipulative tactic ‘beats narcissists at their own game’
A diagnosed sociopath is more manipulative than a narcissist – the two problematic personality types normal humans dread. Despite striking similarities, the two mental health conditions aren’t the same.
Narcissists are masters of manipulation and gaslighting. That’s one of the biggest reasons people get stuck in toxic relationships with them and leaving becomes impossible. As scary as this sounds to an average human, a diagnosed sociopath knows how to beat narcissists at their own game.

How a sociopath manipulates a narcissist
If you don’t know yet, narcissists have an extremely fragile ego and they can’t stand the slightest criticism. Diagnosed sociopath Anika Batra, however, has learned to use this trait to her advantage.
The former Miss World finalist identifies herself as a sociopath. She actively talks about different aspects of her condition as well as other antisocial personalities.
She believes that dealing with narcissists can be extremely difficult, especially because they lack accountability. But she’s learned her way around them to always get what she wants.
As the sociopath points out, questioning a narcissist’s abilities or treating them as inferior triggers their ego. The sociopath, who is fully aware of the damage her words can bring to a narcissist, talks highly of her former partners.
She says she would “milk the narcissist for every cent” he has, by boasting about all the luxurious presents she received from her ex-partners, which prompts the narcissist to do the same to continue to feel superior.
“He needs to compete with that because that’s what narcissists do,” she says. If the toxic person in your life has a better job or happens to have better finances than you, use it as a “ladder for your career.”
The difference between the two mental health conditions
While all sociopaths qualify as narcissists, not all narcissists are necessarily sociopaths. The prime difference between them is the ego factor, which isn’t an issue for sociopaths.
Psychology Today explains the similarities between the two mental health conditions including shared traits such as being charismatic, intelligent, charming, and successful, as well as unreliable, controlling, selfish, disingenuous, and dishonest.
Although neither takes accountability for their unacceptable behaviors, sociopaths don’t have real personalities and they can pretend to be anyone as long as it serves their needs.
Unlike narcissists, they aren’t bothered by others’ opinions, and neither do they try to win else’s validation. Sociopaths are more conniving and do not strive for perfection, which narcissists do.
