Skittles launch a first-ever drink as early reviews compare it to Prime

The rumors have finally come true as Skittles have launched their first-ever drink edition, with some promising early reviews to match.

YouTuber and TikTok influencer Adin Ross was among the few people to try the selection of Skittles’ new flavored drinks, with his review prompting many fans to find out how they can ‘taste the rainbow’ themselves.

Skittles launch their candy-flavored drinks

Reports talking about the new release first surfaced last year and months later, Skittle drinks in multiple flavors are available to buy.

The Candy Passport at Liberty Public Market in San Diego posted a video on their TikTok account featuring all the new flavors available in the store. Another TikTok user claimed that they bought the Skittles drink in a store in Berlin.

As Skittle did not officially announce their new edition, fans were surprised to see the reviews detailing the taste of the new drinks, which come with just 1% juice.

They are available in four different flavors – Wild Berry, Original, Tropical, and Sour. While the original announcement said the drink would taste like “A handful of Skittles”, reviews are comparing it to Prime Hydration.

What each flavor tastes like

In the video posted to Adin’s TikTok a few hours ago today, the streamer personally tried every single flavor reviewing it.

He noted that the original flavor tastes just like sour rainbow candies or rainbow sherbet to be more precise.

The Tropical flavor was compared to Prime drink’s Blueberry flavor, but slightly sweeter.

Whereas, the Skittle Blueberry drink is said to taste “just like Grape Cool Aid”.

The Sour Skittle drink was compared to the Prime drink it was in lemon flavor.

All four flavors of Skittles’ first-ever drink are inspired by the brand’s original candy flavors.
