‘Shortest IQ test’ catches people out as most can’t seem to figure the answer out
You don’t need the toughest riddles to test one’s IQ. A YouTube Shorts has gone viral for showing the ‘shortest IQ test’ most people fail to crack.
The human intelligence quotient is determined by the ability to think critically as opposed to the belief that it’s equivalent to smartness. When a YouTuber asks a simple question about five donuts, most find themselves scratching their heads.

‘Shortest IQ test’ most get wrong
YouTuber Max Klymenko’s video has gathered a lot of attention for featuring the ‘shortest ever IQ test’ many couldn’t answer.
He is seen walking around with a box of five donuts, which inspires the question he asks passersby to test their intelligence.
The question is – If five machines take five minutes to make five donuts, how long would it take a hundred machines to make a hundred donuts?
His question was met with a variety of answers. Some said a hundred machines would take a hundred minutes to make a hundred donuts. While a few others went on to multiply the time required for one donut by a hundred times.
One of the people featured in the video was tempted to use a calculator when another said it only takes ten minutes to create a hundred donuts.
Correct answer takes users by surprise
Only one person could get the right answer in the entire clip, and if you haven’t figured it out yet, it’s five minutes. The time needed to create each donut remains unchanged regardless of the number of machines or the quantity, which many failed to realize.
The comment section is filled with hilarious reactions as a lot of the users couldn’t guess the right answer and the rest couldn’t stop laughing at all the wrong guesses in the video.
“It is not a math problem. It is a critical thinking problem,” wrote one, when another joked: “It’s called math anxiety. If I’m asked any simple math problem in a public space I go into survival mode.”
One user used a practical example to explain the answer better. The comment read: “It takes 9 pregnant women, 9 months to carry out 9 babies – how long does it take for 100 pregnant women to carry out 100 babies? 100 months?”
“Too many people thought it was a math question. It is not. The question is logic, pure logic,” said another.
