Shake Shacks summer menu is yummy but some are being left with a foul taste in their mouths

Shake Shack’s up-and-coming summer menu is creating waves online as potential customers debate whether you get good value for money.

As the warm weather rolls around each year, your favorite fast-food restaurants launch their own renditions of a summer menu. We’ve already been offered a peek at the Starbucks menu, and Popeyes unveiled their latest creations earlier this month.

What’s on the Shake Shack summer menu?

Starting on May 24, Shake Shack is launching their summer-themed menu at all of their 328 locations in America. The offers and new foods are expected to run until early September.

On the burger front, Shake Shack is offering customers a Smoky Classic BBQ Burger, described as double patties with American cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, pickles, crispy onions, and classic smoky BBQ sauce on a toasted potato bun. If you like your spice a little sweeter, you could opt for the Carolina BBQ Burger with its pepper jack cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, fried pickles, and a tangy-sweet Carolina-style BBQ.

When you’re not devouring the burgers, you can expect to dip your BBQ crinkle-cut fries into either Shack BBQ sauce or Shack BBQ sauce.

If you’re still hungry, wash down your burger and fries with one of three brand-new milkshakes including the Peaches & Cream shake, Strawberry Frosted Donut shake, and Chocolate Salted Caramel shake.

I do not think BBQ gets enough street cred from the fine dining world, said Shake Shack’s executive chef John Karangis. The way they balance flavors . . . the acidity and the brightness . . . whether it is pickles on the side or something spicy or sweet . . . we were very inspired by that.

Not everyone intends to chow down on the new food

Though most social media users agreed that the pictures triggered the hungry animals in their stomachs, some said that Shake Shack was notorious for enormous prices and small portions, though hopefully not on their summer menu.

Snackolator shared images of the summer selection on Instagram, who you might remember earlier teased the Wendy’s Tajin fries.

“One Smoky Classic and a side of fries? okay! your total comes out to $86.55 and your right leg! thanks for stopping by! one person jokingly responded.

“Thatll be $45 for a combo meal,” another person said, while a third added, “My only problem with Shake Shack is that those burgers look absolutely delicious but in reality, theyre the size of a mini cheeseburger.”

That being said, there were excited fans of Shake Shack, with one penning: “Peaches and Cream?? Say less, Ill take two.”
