Secret McDonald’s burger with eight patties isn’t for the faint-hearted
A secret McDonald’s burger with eight patties has gone viral on social media – and you’ve got to be extra hungry for this one.
It’s not on the fast food chain’s menu, but it can be made using their customization options, and it’s not for the faint-hearted.

McDonald’s burger with eight patties
The burger is nicknamed the Monster Mac, and it’s just a normal Big Mac but with eight patties instead of the usual two. Those eight beef burgers are stacked between three pieces of bun and sandwiched together with Big Mac sauce, cheese and lettuce.
To order it, all you have to do is ask for a Big Mac with six extra patties, but it definitely won’t come cheap.
The price of a normal Big Mac varies from around $5 to $8 across the United States, and then you have to add the extra six beef patties. They usually come in at around $1 each, so you’ll be spending at least $11 to create the huge monster burger.
You usually have to assemble it yourself as the extra patties come in a separate box. Plus, it’s best to ask for extra Big Mac sauce otherwise the burger will be a little dry.
A normal Big Mac contains 590 calories, and a beef patty is 90, so the Monster Mac comes in at a whopping 1,130.
It comes after McDonald’s launched the limited edition Double Big Mac earlier this year, which has four patties. The burger was briefly added to the menu in March 2020 but the pandemic forced the chain to remove it.
TikTok users try the ‘Monster Mac’
The burger has been circling social media since around 2021, and many have shared videos trying the monstrosity on TikTok.
“It’s big. It’s messy. It’s a mouthful. I absolutely love it. Everything you love about a Big Mac but more,” one guy said.
Someone else estimated the burger weighs about three pounds and struggled to even fit his jaw around it because it’s so big.
Another TikTok user revealed it’s hard to eat because the whole thing falls apart, but it’s “good stuff” and “pretty dang cool”.
“I don’t think I’m gonna be able to finish this one. I mean how do you even eat this thing?” someone else said.
If you love Big Macs and meat, you’ll no doubt enjoy the Monster Mac – just make sure you’ve got a big appetite!
