Rumor TikTok is automatically posting and deleting drafts in 2024 sparks panic

A rumor that TikTok is automatically posting or deleting people’s drafts in 2024 has sent social media users into panic.

The gossip started circling TikTok in early February and is stressing everyone out, but it doesn’t look like you need to worry.

Rumor TikTok is posting drafts in 2024

Drafts is the place where you can save pre-made TikTok videos without actually posting them to your profile.

The videos will stay in your drafts until you decide to share them publicly or delete them, or so they should.

Some are claiming the video app is automatically posting drafts to profiles without notifying the user first.

One person wrote on TikTok this week: “TikTok please tell me you’re not posting everyone’s drafts. My life would be over.”

“I heard that TikTok was posting everyone’s drafts,” said another.

Others say they are being deleted

Another rumor is flooding social media that the app is deleting people’s drafts if they have more than 100.

Someone said: “TikTok is deleting everyone’s drafts in 2024. Mine were gone this morning.”

“I feel bad for everyone with 100+ drafts, ya’ll about to lose all your memories,” said another.

Another person added: “My For You Page is full of videos with warnings that TikTok is going to delete all drafts in 2024.”

Be aware that your drafts will be permanently deleted if you uninstall the TikTok app on your device or clear the cache.

There’s no evidence of either

Both rumors are panicking people on TikTok this week, but there is no evidence that the app is posting or deleting drafts.

It all seems to be a silly internet trend to scaremonger users, and it’s not the first time it’s happened either.

The rumor emerges every year and drafts have never been posted or deleted in the past, so we can assume it’s fake news.

Anyone claiming their drafts have been posted or deleted is probably lying, but GRV Media and The Focus have reached out to TikTok for confirmation.
