Pokimane said she’d ‘never’ sign with Kick but fans think otherwise following Twitch exit

Pokimane bid farewell to Twitch after finding a “home” on the platform for a decade without disclosing her plans for the future, but rumors suggest she may follow in the footsteps of the likes of xQc and Adin Ross to sign a hefty deal with Kick. However, it seems the gossipmongers aren’t aware of the fact that the streamer was strongly opinionated about the streaming platform last year because its values didn’t align with hers.

Pokimane’s exit from Twitch comes as a shock to fans as she remains the most followed female streamer to date. Obviously, everybody wants to know what her future holds, and rumors about Kick have surfaced. But, Poki’s diehard fans strongly believe “there’s no way” she would sign with Kick after what she had to say about it in the past.

Pokimane’s past comments on the prospect of joining Kick

It was during one of her live streams last year when a fan posed Pokimane with a hypothetical question – Would you change to Kick for like $10 million (+) contract?

The streamer was quick to shake her head to imply it was a big NO, before diving deep into reasons that held her back from ever signing with Kick.

She said: “It’s not because I got like $10 million. I’m as good as I am. Why would I compromise my morals and ethics for more money when I have money? Something about it is so cringe to me personally.”

I understand, you know, if you need to make money. For me to do cringe s**t when I have money, I cant. Like, ew,” she added.

The Focus has reached out to Pokimane for comments on rumors about her joining Kick, but we haven’t received a response yet.

Twitch bids farewell to its biggest female streamer

Pokimane hasn’t revealed the reason for quitting Twitch, but fans think she may be taking a “break from the Internet”, as it’s unlikely she would join Kick. For all we know, she may have a bigger surprise lined up for her followers.

Talking about the “end of an era,” she called Twitch a “home” and thanked it for all the memories. The platform responded with a lovely farewell note too.

“What an incredible journey its been. Were so proud of everything youve accomplished and whats ahead in the future. Youll always have a home on Twitch, Poki,” read Twitch’s comment.

While Pokimane struggled to hold her tears back and told Twitch not to make her “cry more”, fans became emotional too.

One fan asked: “Is Pokimane quitting streaming or is she moving platforms?! I have to know! Literally every life decision I make revolves around what Pokimane does!”

“Dang, it’s hard to imagine Twitch without Pokimane! I am curious to see what she has planned next,” another added.
