Ritz Crackers and South Patch Kids team up for confusing product advert
Ritz Crackers and Sour Patch Kids have confused the internet after they seemingly teased a potential collaboration product.
The world of snacking has seen some truly incredible team-ups in the past, like the Doritos Locos Taco from Taco Bell and Doritos. Other examples include Peeps and Pepsi, and, of course, KFC and Crocs. But one collaboration that wasnt on our Bingo cards was Sour Patch Kids and Ritz.
April Fools has come early
On Thursday, both brands took to their respective Instagram pages to drop one hell of a tasty bomb. Social media users were presented with the iconic Ritz box, though without its usual red colouring. Instead, the packaging was washed in electric yellow and bright green and featured a little Sour Patch Kid next to a cracker.
Got so salty i turned sour. haha jk. Unless, both pages wrote in the caption, earning over 16k likes between the two.

The packaging seemed to suggest that the insides were normal Ritz Crackers but coated in sherbert dust much like the Sour Patch Kids. We dont know whether they sound scrumptious, or dastardly.
Social media was divided by the Sour Patch Cracker

Understandably, the rest of social media could not decide whether the creations were visionary, or straight out of a horror movie.
Whoever came up with this idea deserves a raise, one person boldly claimed, as a second said, This actually sounds good to me. I mean, I would have no skin left on my tongue after, but I would still enjoy it.
The official South Patch Kids page said: Sour looks good on u ritz.
But not everyone agrees, as someone explained: This is diabolical.
You’re getting boycotted for this one buddy, another hater said.

There is hope
While the posts do seem like an elaborate practical joke, there could be some truth behind the madness. In the past, both brands have teamed up with other companies to launch tasty new products.
Previously, Ritz teamed up with both Orea and fashion business Framed. Similarly, Sour Patch Kids collabed with Yogurtland and Chips Ahoy!
