Redhead experiences ginger festival for first time as he finds fakes in the crowd

Social media users were shocked to learn of a festival for ginger people, with one redheaded influencer making it his mission to uproot fakes and phonies.

Festivals are a little like Netflix shows in the sense that there are countless iterations for just about every niche you could think of. Who knew that also included gingers, arguably the least appreciated of the hair colors?

‘A Weasley family gathering’

Peet Montzingo (@peetmontzingo) is an influencer boasting over 20 million subscribers on YouTube and 14.4 million followers on TikTok. His content is usually centered around comedy with a vlog-like style.

Last month, Peet attended the Redhead Days Festival in Amsterdam, Tilburg, alongside thousands of other redheaded people. With the largest gathering of gingers in the world, Redhead Days Festival puts on everything from music to lectures, art activities to games for kids. They even identify your specific shade of red!

Peet uploaded part of his vlog to TikTok where viewers were shocked to watch him perfectly identify a “fake” ginger with help from his fellow redheads.

While chatting to other redheads about the event being infiltrated, many festivalgoers pointed out suspicious people for Peet to check up on. After a few interviews, he found his fake ginger.

Despite insisting that she was a natural redhead, Peet positioned her in front of a shade range of orange hair, none of which she matched. Soon enough, she said “You got me”, much to the satisfaction of the ginger host.

For the rest of his time at the festival, Peet set out to find his ginger twin, crowd surf, and have the founder of the festival admit his superiority.

Despite ginger being one of the least sought-after hair colors in a relationship, lots of TikTok users begged to attend the Redhead Days Festival because of their adoration.

One person wrote: “I WANNA GO SO BAD (I’m not ginger but they are my type).”

“I need to go to a ginger festival because I almost never see other natural redheads,” another wrote in the comments.

“We just not gonna talk about that girl he walked past with jet black hair?” another man said, to which Peet wrote back, “Shes not an imposter she a Weasley family friend.. the imposters are the ones who pretend to be a Weasley.”
