Pink Shirt Couple shock followers as they announce breakup in new video
Social media was rocked after the breakup of the century from the Pink Shirt Couple, leaving their loyal followers devastated and praying that it was a prank.
After meeting at a college swim team in 2021, Cayda and Alyssa became inseparable to the point of wearing the same pink shirt. The influencers amassed a colossal following on social media, with over 19.7 million YouTube subscribers and 3.9 million followers on TikTok. They also boast an impressive follower count on Instagram.
Why did they break up?
The Pink Shirt Couple took to their YouTube account on Saturday with a 20-minute decision about their heartbreaking decision. Despite the sullen news, they seemed in high spirits and committed to staying friends.
Cayda, 23, confessed: “We did break up, as a couple. We’re still really close as friends and care very deeply about each other.

“But I think as individuals, when like I said, the most important thing is working on yourself, and when the other significant other doesn’t provide that or help better themselves or the other person, I think they might need time for themselves or apart. And I think that’s what is best for us. Doesn’t mean change is bad. Change is good. You have to learn to grow.”
Alyssa, 22, continued to explain that she only wants the best for both of them and sadly, that means not being together.
“And obviously it’s just really hard, because we have been together for two and a half years, you know, which is a pretty good amount of time big chunk of our lives, you know, we spent with each other and we grew and we got to experience this whole YouTube with each other,” she added. “For our relationship, we felt more like friends than a couple. You know, we both can have so much fun with each other and are super silly and everything.
