Only in Florida can you get Chick-fil-A delivered to your boat

It’s time to start planning a trip to Florida before the summer’s over because you can get Chick-fil-A delivered by boat. Yes, really!

If you get a little peckish while spending the day relaxing on the water, you can order a chicken sandwich – but it doesn’t come cheap.

Chick-fil-A delivered by boat

The food service is available in Crab Island, a popular summer tourist attraction in Destin, Florida. It’s a sandbar located just South of the Marler Bridge, known for its crystal-clear water which is only 1 to 4 ft deep.

It’s not actually run by the fast food chain. A local company buys a catering order and sails around the area in a rubber dingy re-selling chicken sandwiches. They do wear Chick-fil-A t-shirts though and even have a Chick-fil-A sail.

To order, all you have to do is wait for them to come around or try and flag them down. One woman claimed a chicken sandwich costs $10, so it’s a lot more expensive than going to the restaurant, but you pay for the convenience.

One viral TikTok video shows a woman shouting “Chick-fil-A” repeatedly as she waves down the dingy from her boat. When it arrives, she orders a chicken sandwich which comes in an insulated bag to keep it warm.

Another clip shows the little boat has a bag on board full of chicken sandwiches which they are selling that day. In the comments, someone said they’ve ordered one at Crab Island before and it was actually hot!

It’s one of many vendors that sail around the beach selling food, drinks and merchandise. Others have fruit and ice cream, and there’s even a whole burger joint called Reef Burger right in the middle of the water.

The fast food chain might not be behind this one, but Chick-fil-A does have futuristic delivery robots that bring chicken straight to your doorstep.

‘That’s the dream’

People are obsessed with the Chick-fil-A boat, with one saying it’s “the dream”.

“This sounds like heaven,” said another.

A third person added: “Florida is another world.”

“Thats kinda wild,” someone else said.

It’s time to take a trip to Crab Island, but make sure you don’t go on a Sunday. The vendors aren’t there on Sundays!
