One word Americans simply ‘can’t say’ which Brit finds hysterical
A British man has gone viral on TikTok after explaining a word that Americans ‘can’t say’ because of their accent.
Josh has racked up more than 4.4 million followers sharing videos about the differences between the two countries.

One word Americans ‘can’t say’
“I have found the word that every single American cannot say,” he said. “Every single American accent will not allow Americans to say this word.”
He then revealed the word is “rural” and challenged all Americans to say it while mimicking how he thinks Americans pronounce the word.
“Go on, say it in your American accent, because you CAN’T,” he continued in the viral video, asking in the caption: “America is this TRUE?”
The guy then went on to give a “bonus word” which he claims a lot of Americans struggle to say too – “brewery”.
Video leaves Americans divided
The video has divided people in the comments, with some Americans admitting they can’t say the words and others getting very defensive.
One person wrote: “Rural and brewery are not a struggle to say.”
“Just because YOU can’t say these words doesn’t mean we can’t,” said another.
A third person added: “Okay you got me with rural.”
“I can say those with no problem,” someone else claimed.
Another commented: “And? So what if we can’t?”

Another word Americans can’t say
Americans thought the TikTok user was going to say a totally different word, which seems to be the most difficult – Worcestershire!
The English town is impossible to pronounce for most Americans, and they’re not afraid to admit this one either.
Someone said: “Ummm it’s Worcestershire Sauce most of us can’t say.”
“I don’t have issues with rural or brewery, Worcestershire is another story,” another agreed agrees.
A different person agreed: “Can definitely say those words! But cannot day Worcestershire.”
