One simple sign you have found the one

In a viral video, he said you’ve found “the person who was made for you” in life if you can be stupid around them.

He quoted a line from a famous French poet called Paul Valery, who wrote: “Love is being stupid together.”

Being stupid together means that person makes you smile, laugh and feel like you can experience “abundant joy”.

You get to be your most childlike self, your guard is down and you feel safe, the TikTok user continued to explain.

Julian went on to quote Dr Suess, who said: “It’s love when you find someone whose weirdness is compatible with yours.”

When you fall into this mutual weirdness together, this is love because you can be your “most authentic self”.

Falling in love actually makes you silly

Psychotherapist Dr. Marni Feuerman told Business Insider that love scientifically makes you act silly due to a huge surge of hormones and neurotransmitters.

“Such chemistry overrides our logical, rational thought,” she said, which can cause you to do stupid things you might not usually.

“The feeling of being in love takes up a lot of mental space and even dampens our cognitive functioning at least temporarily,” she added.

This cognitive diminishment was proven in a 2013 study by Dr. Henk van Steenbergan at Leiden University in the Netherlands.

51 people in new relationships were asked to differentiate important information from irrelevant after listening to romantic music and a correlation was found between love and poor performance.

Being playful brings joy and laughter into the relationship and helps build strong bonds, a 2001 study by Martin Luther Universitys Kay Brauer adds.

“Adult playfulness supports fostering and maintaining social relationships,” it says, bringing positive emotions to the partnership.
