New football-themed ‘Hat Trick’ burger coming to McDonald’s ahead of the Euros
McDonald’s has just announced a brand new summer menu, and it features a football-themed burger called ‘The Hat Trick’.
The menu will be available for a limited time across the UK, launching on May 29 ahead of the UEFA�Euro 2024�tournament in Germany.
New ‘Hat Trick’ burger at McDonald’s
“It’s official, the summer of sport is coming, and you can score a win with our NEW burger �The�Hat Trick,” McDonald’s said in a press release.
The burger has a subtle football nod with its name, as a hat trick is when a player scores three times in the same game. Keeping with the theme, it has three 100% beef patties because “scoring once just isn’t enough”.
It’s complete with two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard, and ketchup all inside a glazed sesame seed bun. The burger will be priced at �5.89 on its own or �7.69 for a Medium Meal, although prices may vary.
This isn’t the first time McDonald’s has launched a burger called The Hat Trick. The chain offered a similar one in 1994 to celebrate the FIFA World Cup in the United States. It was a supersized cheeseburger with three patties and two slices of cheese.

The rest of the summer menu is all about sharing, encouraging fast food fans to share a meal with friends before the big games.
You’ll be pleased to hear the McDonald’s Sharebox is returning, which includes six Chicken Selects, 12 Chicken McNuggets. It costs �10.59 and comes with your choice of two McNuggets dips and two Selects dips, which includes a new and improved�Garlic Mayo�and�Sweet and Smoky BBQ.
An��8.49 Chicken Selects Sharebox is launching too, which includes nine of the chicken strips and three dips. Plus, Mozzarella Bites are coming back, with a warm and gooey cheese centre encased in a golden crispy coating, served with a rich tomato dip.
With the new menu arriving in just a few weeks, it’s almost time to say goodbye to the Chicken Big Mac, Quarter Pounder Deluxe, Biscoff McFlurry, Biscoff Frapp�, Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry, Galaxy Caramel Pie and Cheese & Herb Bites.
New desserts are coming too
If you’re still hungry after that, a new�Skittles McFlurry is arriving for the summer, soft dairy ice cream swirled with chewy Skittles fudge pieces and sugary pearls and topped with purple Skittles-flavoured sauce.
If you prefer a hot dessert, the new Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie will be right up your street, a delicious combination of smooth chocolate ganache and raspberry compote encased in a crispy chocolate pastry.
Two old favorites are returning too, including the much-loved Iced Latte which is a permanent addition. The Galaxy Caramel McFlurry is also making a comeback, soft dairy ice cream swirled with Galaxy Chocolate pieces and topped with Galaxy Caramel Chocolate sauce.
