Minnesota brewery names new beer after hilarious incident that sent worker flying
One should learn the art of making the best out of the worst from the Back Channel Brewing in Minnesota, for they named their beer after a scary incident that sent a brewer flying across the room.
The limited-edition IPA was a hit, going by people’s reactions on Instagram and the victim of the beer tank valve blast is reportedly safe and uninjured too.

Beer tank valve explodes sending brewer flying
The video depicting the scary moment when a beer tank valve exploded is still available on the company’s official Instagram account.
The incident reportedly occurred in January when a Back Channel Brewing employee, Brendan, was checking on a container when the beer suddenly shot out of the valve at high pressure, pushing him on to the floor.
Soaked in the IPA, Brendan quickly gets back on his feet and runs towards the container to close the valve from which the the beer continues to pour out onto the floor.
Thanks to the views the viral video has clocked – over 51,000 on Instagram – the brewery decided to name a limited-edition “delicious” IPA after the incident. Called “Blow Back”, the “best beer” was made available to public.
Brewer jokes about the incident
The video on Instagram doesn’t show how the incident ended, but the company told Kare11 that Brendan was “OK”.
Meanwhile, the brewer joked about the scary incident himself and wrote in the comments: “I had to get a sneak peak of how good the beer tasted.”
Instagram users have also reacted funnily to the incident that ended up not hurting anyone.
One comment reads: “Bro drank about seven pints before he hit the floor”
“Whoever runs their social media handled this BEAUTIFULLY,” said another.
A third person said: “Can you make the moment it burst in his face and blew him back into a t-shirt? That would be awesome.”
“Whoever said lets take the surveillance video and make is a commercial deserves a raise,” reads one comment.
And one user joked: “Every college kid trying to tap a keg for the first time”
