McDonalds workers say they dread the moment a customer’s order hits $50

American McDonalds workers have complained that they dread the moment a customers order reaches the $50 mark.

McDonalds, who were recently crowned as the best french fries in America, has been a staple in American culture since 1940. Customers love the tender embrace of the most popular items, and dont even get us started on the wonders of the McDonalds secret menu!

Hitting $50 means McDonalds has to call the manager

Next time youre at McDonalds picking up your Chicken Big Mac or sharebox of nuggets, keep an eye on the total as you approach $50. The staff will definitely be watching, according to a recent viral TikTok.

The startling revelation was shared by Kaalen (@kaalen4) in September as he took to the video-sharing platform with a video that has since amassed millions of views and 240k likes.

He wrote on the video: When the order is getting closer and closer to the $50 mark and now youll have to stop them to get a manager.

Kaalen put on a show for the camera, wiping his eyes as if the mere thought of doing it was stressing him out. But why?

It turns out that McDonalds managers have to authorize orders over $50 with a unique code known only to them. While its not unheard of, such processes are usually reserved for enormous, once-in-a-blue-moon orders.

Some claimed their store has a $25 limit

Rising prices and crumbling economies have created a financial environment where everyone is paying more for literally everything in their lives. McDonalds is no different, and you can see that from the price of a Big Mac alone.

That means people are hitting that $50 mark sooner, especially if feeding an entire family.

Reacting to the video, another McDonalds employee shockingly revealed: It’s $25 at my store and my God, I could cry every time this happens.

Our managers just gave us their numbers because they got annoyed with us asking them, another said, while a third said, They had to turn this off at my store bc the customers almost always have orders over $50.”
