McDonald’s teams up with Yu-Gi-Oh! and Hello Kitty in random Happy Meal crossover
McDonald’s has teamed up with two huge Japanese cartoons for its latest Happy Meal toys, but they’re only available in one country.
The fast food chain is collaborating with manga series Yu-Gi-Oh! and Sanrio cat Hello Kitty on a series of adorable plushies.

McDonald’s, Yu-Gi-Oh and Hello Kitty
The random collaboration is available in Belgium right now, with Yu-Gi-Oh! and Hello Kitty toys appearing in Happy Meals from March 6 to April 9. Sadly, that’s the only place you can get them and there are no plans to bring it to the United States right now.
“Want to know what happens whenYu-Gi-Oh! meets Hello Kitty & Friends? Well, a combination of both creations emerges… in the form of a stuffed toy!” the McDonald’s Belgium website says. “There are 10 stuffed creatures in total each featuring an element of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Sanrio.”
The food giant also released a cool commercial announcing the “never seen before” crossover with a video of two kids playing a virtual card game, and everyone is gutted that the toys are only available in Belgium.
One person wrote on Twitter/X “Very angry and jealous,” while another said: “WHAAAAAT we never get good stuff here.”
Sanrio is its own entertainment company, while Yu-Gi-Oh! is owned by the Konami Group Corporation, so they are not linked in any way other than both being Japanese cartoons.
