
McDonald’s launches 50th Birthday Menu with new Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers and Milkybar McFlurry
McDonald’s is shaking up its menu this week to celebrate their 50th birthday, with three new desserts, a cheesy side and some much-loved items making a return.
The new menu launches at UK restaurants on July 17 and will be available for a limited time. McDonald’s opened their first British restaurant in Woolwich, southeast London in October 1974.

Three new desserts coming to McDonald’s
First up on the new McDonald’s menu is the Milkybar Raspberry Ripple McFlurry, which features soft dairy ice cream swirled with mini Milkybar chocolate drops and topped with a raspberry sauce.
If you prefer milk chocolate, the Munchies Cookie Dough McFlurry is made up of soft dairy ice cream swirled with chocolate-coated Munchies biscuit pieces and topped with a caramel cookie dough sauce.
Both are priced at �2.19 for the original size and �1.59 for the mini, but prices may vary across UK restaurants.

A special 50th anniversary Birthday Cake Donut is launching too, a ring donut with a strawberry flavoured filling, topped with a buttercream-flavoured icing and sprinkles.
20p from each�donut�sale will be donated to�Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, which celebrates its 35th�birthday this year.
Brand new Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers
A new side is coming to the fast food chain this week that will get your taste buds tingling, Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers.
If you love garlic bread, you’ll be obsessed with these four mozzarella dippers flavored with garlic and chives in a ciabatta-style breadcrumb coating, served with rich tomato dip.
The individual portion costs �2.39, or you can get a Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers Sharebox for just �6.49.
The Hat Trick Burger, Skittles McFlurry and Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie will be leaving the menu this week to make room for the new additions.
Much-loved burgers making a return
The menu also sees the return of the Double Big Mac and�Double Big Mac with Bacon, which feature four 100% beef patties, a slice of cheese, lettuce, onion, pickles and Big Mac sauce.
A Double Big Mac Meal, which includes fries and a drink, will set you back �7.19, while the bacon option is a little more at �8.09.
If you prefer chicken, another burger is making its first re-appearance since October 2023, the�McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse, at �7.49 for a meal.
It’s made up of 100% chicken breast fillet in a crispy, crunchy coating with a smoky BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, red onion and lettuce, all in a sourdough-style sesame-topped bun.
The McDonald’s Chicken Sharebox is staying on the menu too, which includes six Chicken Selects, 12 Chicken McNuggets and four dips.
