Man’s impression of guys who always slide into your DMs is on point
Dating can be drama-free, especially when it’s all in your head and your crush never really takes notice of your existence. What do you do then? Relentlessly spam her DM.
Some love stories are serendipity. Like the TikTok couple that met on a vacation, but became started dating months later in the most unexpected way. But it’s a different ball game when you’re the only person in an imaginary relationship.

TikTok user imitates ‘that one guy’ in your DMs
Some men pursue you like there’s no tomorrow and social media only makes it easier for them. TikTok user Darth Unicorn hilariously imitates the text message from “that one guy”, who goes on to have a one-sided conversation for a long time and never seems to give up.
It usually starts with a casual “Hey”. Your admirer may occasionally react to your stories, posts, etc. It could be a “haha” or a “LOL”- you wouldn’t react. They may send longer messages the next time to get your attention.
Say you have posted a picture from a bar, “that one guy” always replies: “Oh, I love that bar. Maybe we should go there sometime.”
There is another short greeting such as a “Hello”, before the guy gets the feeling that you don’t want to talk to him. But that still doesn’t stop him.
That guy may also, at some point, send you a text: “If you don’t want to talk I am not going to message back,” before following up with a few more “heys”.
Girls share funny DMs from strangers
Darth Unicorn’s funny representation of a random guy’s messages resonates with followers, prompting them to share similar DMs they receive from desperate men.
One girl said it’s not uncommon for men to say “You’re quiet” over texts despite never receiving prompt responses.
“I dont know what is worse. Them messaging without a response or us not blocking them and keep entertaining it,” said another.
A third user wrote: “The Hey is killing me cos its so true” when another added: “I found one the other day on my messenger, 6 years of ‘heys’ in my message requests. I was like what the hell who are you.”
