Man in turmoil as he discovers his wife is cheating with artificial intelligence
A husband turned to social media for advice after he caught his wife cheating on him in graphic detail with an artificial intelligence bot.
Artificial intelligence is here to stay, and yet, it’s still subjected to considerable criticism. Though features like death predictions are obviously troubling, the same could be said for every invention since the dawn of time.

The couple had a good life until the AI man joined the party
We have long understood the possibility of dating AI, considerably more after the Bumble founder said she could see AI becoming a major part of future dating. Unfortunately, it seems that time is already here.
While Reddit is certainly a hotbed for the far-right and incel communities, it’s also a platform many turn to in times of woe, which is exactly what a 32-year-old husband did on Wednesday.
The unnamed man and his wife, 28, had a great life in and outside the bedroom until he noticed that she seemed less interested in him physically.
“Then it just came to a near complete stop. I thought ok maybe she’s just stressed or tired. But it just kept getting worse,” he said. “She started never initiating, not really into it when we actually did it, and sometimes even looked annoyed.”
One day after work, the husband walked into his wife chatting with someone on the computer. Though he initially questioned what she was doing, she brushed it off and continued with the evening.
Later that night, in a move he knew, was “controversial”, the husband searched through his wife’s history, finding an AI website that is used for NSFW chats.
He obviously questioned her, to which she responded: “It’s only roleplay and not a real person, so no big deal.”
While the husband claimed he had zero issues with his wife enjoying herself without him, he said it was negatively affecting their life and exposing a part of her he didn’t even know existed.
Ultimately, the husband turned to Reddit for advice, hoping someone would affirm his reasoning that his wife was basically cheating.
Most seemed to agree with him

Though some compared his wife’s actions to reading erotica or playing a video game, most Reddit users agreed that the wife was in the wrong.
One person said: “Start by not focusing on the ai. Focus on her recent highly decreased libido. Then ask what she gets from the AI that she couldn’t get live and in person with you. Offer to work with her on moving some of her fantasy stuff into your fun time.
“The point is, you’re unhappy with your current sex life. If she were more present with you, you could care less about her AI games.”
“There’ll be so many different opinions on whether sexting/intimacy with AI is cheating or even ‘real’, so my suggestion on that is to talk it through with your gf. If you can’t agree or compromise, and it’s a deal breaker, then you know what that means,” another wrote.
The husband did not post an update to his original story, so we’re only left with guessing whether he addressed the issue or not.
