Magic the Gathering players say JD Vances chosen deck reveals what he would be like as Vice President

Magic: The Gathering players have theorized that JD Vances favorite deck could point to his vice-presidential approach, with one stating he is “ruthless and wants to win at all costs.”

On Tuesday, November 5, the American public will vote for its next President. Hopefuls Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are currently battling it out as the average American reports increased election anxiety.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – OCTOBER 27: Sen. JD Vance speaks during a campaign rally for Republican presidential nominee, former U.S. President Donald Trump at Madison Square Garden on October 27, 2024 in New York City. JD Vance is Donald Trump’s running mate

As Kamala stands firm with her Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz, with the two said to be very compatible, former President Donald Trump has put his bets on Republican JD Vance.

Speaking to Semafor in August, JD Vance opened up about his favorite childhood card game, Magic: The Gathering. For those of you unfamiliar with the highs and lows of the game, Magic: The Gathering is a tabletop and digital collectible card game created by Richard Garfield in 1993.

The big problem with transitioning from being a 13-year-old who likes Magic: The Gathering to being a 15-year-old who likes Magic: The Gathering is that 15-year-old girls do not like Magic: The Gathering, he told the publication. So I dropped it like a bad habit.

The former marine’s favorite card is Yawgmoths Bargain, a “broken” card that was introduced in 1999. It has since been banned at professional competitions due to its less-than-stellar reputation.

An astrologer earlier said that JD Vance would give us thrills and “confusion”, and if the response from Magic: The Gathering players is anything to go off, that’s certainly the case.

Whether you play card games, video games, or even board games, you have no doubt come across a player who obliterates the competition with an overpowered move or sly trick. JD Vance is that guy, according to other players of Magic: The Gathering.

At the time, it was probably the most powerful deck you could play, one player recently told The Independent. I infer from that that hes ruthless and wants to win at all costs.

Democrat politician Lucas Kunce, who is a lifelong player of the game, said: Essentially, youre not playing an interactive game anymore. Youre just sort of playing Solitaire& while the other person sits there and waits for the game to end.

If JD Vance was playing that at the kitchen table against his buddies, then people probably thought he was kind of a jerk.”

The politician further noted how Yawgmoths Bargain is “power at any cost”, which doesn’t paint the best picture of JD Vance.
