Liquid Death’s new Hot Fudge Sundae sparkling water might be 2024’s weirdest release
Liquid Death might have just released the weirdest product of 2024 so far, a Hot Fudge Sundae flavor sparkling water.
No, April Fools’ hasn’t come early. It’s actually real – and some think humanity could have “gone too far” with this one.
Liquid Death’s Hot Fudge Sundae sparkling water
The new drink is a collaboration with Van Leeuwen ice cream and is the first ever flavoredsparkling waterthat “tastes just like chugging ahot fudge sundae”. A 19.2oz can comes in at only 20 calories and does not actually contain any ice cream or dairy, so it’s also vegan.
The beverage is lightly sweetened with agave nectar and only available in the US right now, but it’s already sold out on the Liquid Death website. It’s also available exclusively on Amazon and at Van Leeuwen Scoop Shops, but the premium flavored sparkling water is “very limited edition”.
Hot Fudge Sundae is Liquid Death’s first non-fruity sparkling water. Their other flavors are berry, mango, lime, cherry, melon, grapefruit and orange. They also sell still water, iced teas and a powdered hydration drink called “death dust”.
The canned water company was founded in 2018 and all their products are themed around death, with the tagline “murder your thirst”.
“Were just a funny beverage company who hates corporate marketing as much as you do. Our evil mission is to make people laugh and get more of them to drink more healthy beverages more often, all while helping to kill plastic pollution,” their website says.
It’s not the only strange new drink to be announced this week. Oreo and Coca-Cola have also teamed up on a zero sugar beverage, as well as a new sandwich cookie.
‘Has humanity gone too far?’
People really don’t know how to feel about this one, with many saying it sounds disgusting but they are also quite excited to try it.
“That sounds literally so gross. I got 3 boxes,” one person commented on their Instagram.
Another said: “No thank you. Give us a lemon flavor.”
“Has humanity gone too far with this one? I would still try it but probably hate it,” a third person added.
Someone else said: “That sounds awful, I cant wait to try it.”
Another claimed it sounds like the kind of drink you find at Walmart where the can is all beat up in a cart that someone left behind.
Would you try it?
