Lawyer travels the world with his three cats who are named after desserts
A man has accumulated more than 1.2 million followers on TikTok travelling the world with his dessert-named cats.
Dan Nguyen is a New-York city based lawyer who shares his travels across the US and Europe with his wife Olivia behind the camera.

The three cats are called Sponge Cake, Mocha and Donut, and they go on adventures in their human dad’s backpack.
Sponge Cake and Mocha are Scottish Folds and Donut is a British Shorthair. They got all three in the summer of 2020.
Theyve visited all kinds of places which are thousands of miles from home, including Paris, London, Milan and Venice.
Olivia started the social-media accounts in November 2021, when they went on their first ever trip abroad – to Paris!
A video of Dan hugging Sponge Cake in front of the Eiffel Tower went viral, and theyve continued to take over TikTok ever since.
Even when they’re not flying across the world, the felines get millions of views just for their adventures across New York City.
The felines love their epic adventures
All three cats have very different personalities, Dan told Insider, but all love their adventures in the outside world.
Sponge Cake is “a very adventurous guy who likes to explore” and is “very attached” to them both, while Mocha is “a very sweet boy who is always calm”.
Donut was the last cat to join the family and was very hesitant to go outside at first but, now loves globetrotting too.
He started training them to go outside with visits to Central Park and the destinations then got further away over time.
Their first trip was across the States to Orlando, San Francisco, and Sacramento in 2021, which wasn’t too difficult.
However, taking them abroad takes a lot of planning as you need certifications from the vet for each airline and country.
Sponge Cake, Mocha and Donut are icons
The three felines have become internet icons, often wearing adorable jumpers and bows hand made by Olivia which catch everyone’s attention.
It’s not just online where they are loved either, the laywer said they’re often stopped in the street by people who don’t even know about their profiles.
“We get a lot of laughs, a lot of smiles, and a lot of curiosity. We get a lot of people coming up to us and wanting to say hello to them, which is always fun,” he said.
Dan has even written his own book Adventure Cats: How to Train Your Cat for Outdoor Adventures to teach others how to do the same.
