
KFC’s tasty new Smash’d Potato Bowls are here to stay
KFC has just launched a tasty new meal, the Smash’d Potato Bowl, and you’re definitely going to want to give this one a try.
The potato explosion is available at the famous chicken chain nationwide right now, and thankfully it’s here to stay.

KFC’s new Smashed Potato Bowl
It’s a layer of yummy mashed potatoes topped with crispy fries, warm cheese sauce, bacon crumbles and a three-cheese blend.
“Smash your hunger with a next-level twist on a fan-favorite Famous Bowl that makes potatoes the star,” KFC said in a press release.
It’s all of KFC’s flavors “smashed together” for just $3.49, and you can add five of KFC’s hand-breaded chicken nuggets for just�$2 more.
The bowls first launched on the menu in Pittsburgh at the end of 2023, and have now gone nationwide after proving really popular.
Bowls were first seen on the KFC menu in 2006, with potatoes, chicken and gravy layered together. Mac & Cheese Bowls then launched in 2019.
It’s a ‘yes’ from fast food fans
The Smash’d Potato Bowl arrived nationwide on January 29 and it’s already getting some raving reviews from fast food fans across the US.
“Okay that’s really good,” one TikTok user said. “The taste of this reminds me of Arbees’ loaded potato bites.”
“I mean, it tastes good,” another agreed. “The mashed potatoes are creamy, the french fries are crispy crunchy. The cheese in there is great. You got the crispy bacon going on.”
“This is delicious. Oh my god, this tastes so good,” someone else said. “The mashed potatoes, very very good. Bacon, has a lot of bacon. It has a perfect mix with the yellow and the white cheese.”
New $20 combo launches too
This week, KFC has also launched a brand new $20�meal called Taste of KFC which is perfect for sharing.
The tasty combo comes with six pieces of KFC’s original recipe�chicken and four individual sides, and it’s available nationwide.
Choose from mashed potatoes and gravy, fresh coleslaw, corn, cheddar mac & cheese and four biscuits for the perfect meal.
