I’ve been using the same deodorant for 8 months you can too

A regular deodorant stick might last you 3 months if youre lucky. Ive been using mine for 8, and Ive received & only a couple of complaints.

I am not a purveyor of cosmetics. I cannot tell you the difference between face, hand, and body moisturizers. It took me at least 20 years to appreciate that shampoo and shower gel serve different purposes. The colorful aisles of high street drugstores intimidate me with words like custard and paraben free. It’s a lifestyle thing. Thats why I shop at &

Ive used the same deodorant for 8 months and its still going strong

I hesitate to say where it came from because Im not in the business of promoting brands.

However, for the sake of providing useful information, it came from Lush.

Lush is headquartered in a coastal town on Britains southern coast, known for its sandy beaches and large natural harbor. Founded in 1995, Lush makes and sells creams, soaps, shampoos, shower gels, lotions, moisturizers, fragrances, scrubs, toothpaste tablets, masks, and other cosmetics.

All its products are vegetarian; many are vegan.

I bought a deodorant bar/block from a Lush store in Hanoi, Vietnam in late January, and have used it almost daily since. I estimate that it has about a month left in it. That puts its total usage time up to well over 9 months.

That’s the amount of time it takes to make a human being.

Go for solid deodorant bars over liquid roll-on or spray cans for maximum longevity

Degree Deodorant writes that a stick or spray deodorant typically lasts for about 3 to 4 weeks with daily use.

Schmidts Naturals claims one deodorant should last about 3 months, noting that customers might be able to get their daily usage down to a single daily application of 1-2 swipes.

Even Salt Of The Earth, which (like Lush) also manufactures eco-friendly, natural deodorants, says their spray deodorants last just 3 months based on 3 sprays per armpit per day.

Their roll-on deodorants reportedly last up to 4 months, or 6 with light use, while their stick deodorants last between 1 and 3 months.

However, their original crystal deodorant sounds like it would give Lushs solid deodorant block a run for its money. They claim it lasts 3 months with heavy use, 12 months with average use, and up to 18 months with light use.

On top of their longevity benefits, solid deodorants are more travel-friendly and can be applied without the need for airing out. They also tend to be more environmentally friendly.

All of which is to say, its worth trying a solid deodorant. It could easily save you money in the long run, and in my experience, they work just as effectively, if not more.
