iOS 18 makes cheating so much easier

We have long heard about the disruptive power of technology in relationships, though obviously not quite as serious as the girlfriend who cheated with artificial intelligence.

Before the introduction of iOS 18, cheaters were forced to hide apps in folders, change passwords, and switch down that brightness to stop their phone from giving them away in nearby windows. All that has now changed.

Thanks to the latest update it has never been easier to cheat on your partner, and while we arent condoning such destructive behavior, its important to be aware of the possibilities.

The first new feature is locking apps, which admittedly seems like a feature specifically designed for cheaters.

Essentially, iPhone users can set separate passcodes or facial recognition for specific apps, preventing unwanted eyes from prying. Locking the app also removes any sign of that app from searches, notifications, spotlight suggestions, Siri suggestions, call history, and map routing suggestions.

Admittedly, anyone investigating their partners potential cheating could still see apps like Tinder, Hinge, and Grindr on their dashboard, but thats where the second feature comes in.

To really hide their exploits, cheaters could also employ the new iOS 18 hide feature, which completely removes the app from the phone into a special folder.

The updates power has been a talking point for months

As you might expect, the possibility of using iOS 18 for nefarious purposes has been a big talking point on social media. Its ironic, given that social media is often the platform on which people cheat.

In a Reddit post dedicated to the iPhone update, one person cautioned: If your partner hides their phone from you and doesn’t let you see, they’re cheating. If your partner hides apps on their phone from you and doesn’t let you see, they’re cheating. If your partner values their ability to secretly cheat on you over your feelings, it’s a form of infidelity in its own right.

iOS 18 is too sneaky for mehh if you got an iPhone ur chopped. Androids only, another wrote on Twitter.

Someone said: iOS 18 letting you hide apps, Twitter letting you hide likes. cheaters are about to go on a generational run.
