Human biologist reveals 3 things you ‘must’ eliminate from your diet and one is crazy
A human biologist has gone viral on TikTok after revealing three things he thinks “every human” should eliminate from their diet and one of them is crazy.
Gary Brecka wants to empower individuals to become the best version of themselves and is always finding ways for people to achieve absolute peak function in their bodies.

3 things you should eliminate from your diet
In the TikTok video, the human biologist said the three things we must permanently get rid of from our diets are:
- Tap water
- Seed oils
- Genetically modified organisms
‘No safe levels of fluoride in your water’
The most shocking of the three is tap water, which Brecka claims contains an unsafe level of fluoride despite billions worldwide drinking it every single day.
Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral thats released from rocks into the soil, water and air in varying amounts. It’s commonly associated with dental benefits and used to strengthen tooth enamel and prevent cavities.
Many areas of the US engage in water fluoridation, which purposely adds more fluoride into the water supply for dental benefits through community water systems.
As revealed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 200 million people (nearly 73% of the US population) benefitted from these systems in 2020. The US has a goal for 77% of Americans to have water with enough fluoride to prevent tooth decay by 2030.
However, studies also suggest that too much fluoride can be bad for you. The biggest risks are dental fluorosis, which stains and weakens teeth, and skeletal fluorosis, a disease which damages bones and joints.
As Healthline explains, other risks include Osteosarcoma, a rare type of bone cancer, and impaired brain development. However, multiple studies have found no clear links between fluoride and these disorders.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends a maximum level of 1.5 milligrams of fluoride per litre of water and water fluoridation has been going on in the US since the 1940s.

Seed oils and genetically modified organisms
Seed oil is an umbrella term for a variety of vegetable-based, refined oils including canola, soybean, corn, cottonseed, grapeseed, sunflower and peanut oils.
There are fears over their safety due to the chemicals used as they are typically extracted from plants using a chemical solvent, Healthline reveals.
A genetically modified organism (GMO) is any organism whose genetic material has been altered by humans, changing its DNA.
Brecka explained that we started to genetically modify food organisms to make the seeds resistant to certain poisons called glyphosates, including insecticides, pesticides and herbicides.
This enhanced the crop yield by stopping the plants from being killed by weeds, insects and wildlife, but didn’t enhance the nutritional content of the food.
A review by Medical News Today explains that fears over GMOs include allergic reactions, the development of cancer and resistance to certain antibiotics.
However, studies have again found no clear links between these things and the WHO says that all available genetically modified foods on the international market “have passed safety assessments and are not likely to present risks for human health”.
