How to see your 2021 Reddit Recap and find your favorite threads
As 2021 comes to an end, discussion website Reddit is providing an annual round-up of the year’s popular threads. Reddit Recap displays a snapshot of user activity over the past year, similar to the Spotify Wrapped feature.

How to see your Reddit Recap
Reddit recently launched a feature called Reddit Recap, an individual recap with data on how each redditor used the social network throughout the year 2021.
Details are provided about how the user explored and engaged with Reddit content from 1 January 2021 all the way to 30 November 2021.
To access your Reddit Recap, simply head over to the discussion site and ensure you are logged in.
Once you are on the main site page, drop down the ‘Home’ option which is located in the top left corner and scroll down to Reddit Recap.
You should then be welcomed with the personalised message addressing you by your username:
“Hi, welcome to your Reddit Recap. Get ready to look back and move forward.”
Find your favorite threads from 2021
First, you will be shown the amount you scrolled, with the measurement compared to the length of bananas:
“In 2021, you scrolled the length of … bananas lying end-to-end.”
For the first time, you can see your top comments from the year as well as the communities you interacted with the most.
Then, Reddit Recap displays how many posts you voted on and how much karma you earned is up next.
Karma is a reflection of how much your contributions mean to the community and jokingly described by many redditors as fake internet points. You could have earned this karma by either posting and commenting or by giving awards.
What kind of redditor you are will then be revealed.
This page shows your Reddit avatar and username on a profile card displaying your secret ability, with your total karma points figure also presented in the right top corner.
Reddit Recap ends by advising you on what communities to join next year and you can then click back, replay or share your Recap slideshow by downloading and sending it to others.
Most popular threads revealed
Aside from the personalised Reddit Recap, the feature also shows an annual roundup of details surrounding the entire platform.
Among all the discussion topics on the site, the most popular of 2021 is cryptocurrencies.
Gaming, sports, weddings, health and fitness, food and drinks, and movies and television then come straight after.
The top five most viewed movies and television communities this year were Marvel Studios, Star Wars, Movie Details and DC Cinematic, according to @reddit via Instagram.

Newsweek reports that in terms of general stats, the 2021 review indicates that Reddit experienced a huge surge in popularity over the last 12 months.
The site reportedly showed a 19% year-on-year increase in posts (with 366 million being created) and a 12% rise in comments (with over two billion).
