How to see retakes on BeReal: Feature explained
BeReal users can retake their posts as many times as they like but be warned, your friends can see all your total attempts.
Whether you didn’t end up doing the right pose or the post just came out blurry, BeReal users don’t have to stress as they have the option to redo it until they get the perfect shot.
However, while users have the option to retake, the amount of attempts is noted and can be seen by your friends who have added you on the app.
We take a look at how users can see both their own retake count as well as their friends.
Users must have at least 10 friends on the app
In order to see the retake count of your own posts as well as your friends, you must have at least 10 friends on the app.
Essentially if a user has less than 10 friends, they would need to add more in order to unlock the feature.
However, even if you yourself have below 10 friends on the app and can’t see your or others’ retake count, it is possible for them to still see yours.
If your friends have over 10 friends, they can still view yours despite you not having unlocked the feature yourself.
Here’s how to see your own BeReal retakes
Users wanting to check their own BeReal’s retake count can do so by tapping their post’s timestamp located under their post. This should appear as a time if they shared their BeReal on time or if they were late, it will be written as however many minutes/ hours that it was delayed.
After tapping on the time it was uploaded, a pop-up should appear at the bottom of the screen, which details your particular posts’ stats.
Featured should be the total comments the post has, how many Realmojis it received, as well as the total retakes the post had before it was uploaded.
You can also see how many times your pals have retaken their BeReals
While users can see their own post’s stats, it is also possible to view your other users who you are friends with on the app.
Those curious to see how many times their friends have retaken their posts before uploading are able to do so by tapping on the timestamp of their post.
Unlike your own post, your friends’ timestamp should be located under their usernames at the top of their BeReal as it appears on your My Friends feed.
A pop-up stats menu for your friend’s post should then appear at the bottom of the screen, which shows their retake count as well as how many comments and Realmoji’s their post has received.
