How to recreate Starbucks egg white bites, as demonstrated by food influencers

TikTok influencers are giving their top tips for recreating the viral Starbucks egg white bites at home, and its surprisingly simple.

Despite controversies, Starbucks is still the most popular coffee shop with 15,000 locations in the US alone. With an ever-expanding menu, including recent olive oil drinks, it should come as no surprise that TikTok influencers are offering cheaper alternatives at home.

Starbucks egg white bites launched back in 2017

Starbucks first stepped into the egg white bite territory way back in 2017 after noticing an obvious gap in their breakfast marketing.

People are more conscious of what they are eating, said Eveline Chao-Rivera, Starbucks brand manager. Many are skipping out on bread and focusing on nutritious protein to fuel their increasingly busy days.

Time and time again, we learned that customers were ordering our breakfast sandwiches without the bread or requesting more vegetarian options, she added. We knew that we had a very specific need to satisfy.

Depending on location, they are offered with red pepper and spinach, bacon and gruyere, and kale and mushroom. They were so popular, the bites were even launched in the UK.

Though incredibly popular and incredibly yummy, buying them every day could get rather experience. But, thats where TikTok comes in.

TikTok steps in to say the day

Janelle Rohner (@janellerohner) gave her rendition of the recipe for her 5.1 million followers on TikTok. She simple blended egg whites, shredded cheese and cottage cheese until creamy. Janelle poured the mixture into cupcake moulds and topped with bacon, though you could do anything that tickles your fancy.

Reacting to Janelles recipe, one person wrote: I’ve never done cottage cheese!!!! that looks good!

Cant wait to try these!! I have tried a bunch and I cant get it right! another person admitted, as a third said, I feel like feta would be so good in this! Might have to try it out.

Other popular things to add in seemingly include green onion, mushroom, tomatoes, Boursin cheese, hot sauce and even smoked salmon! You can also use the whole egg and not just the white if youre busy or cant get a predone mixture.
