
How to find ‘My Year in Books’ in 2023 as Goodreads’ annual recap is out
We’re less than a week away from the end of 2023, and Goodreads has brought back its much-anticipated My Year in Books feature, offering a recap of your reading habits over the past year. Bookworms have taken to social media to show off their results, with many surpassing the reading goals they had set for themselves 12 months ago.

How to find ‘My Year in Books’ in 2023
The ‘My Year in Books’ feature on Goodreads offers an insight into your reading habits over the past year.
Make sure you’re signed into the Goodreads website via desktop or log in to the app to access ‘My Year in Books’.
To view it via desktop:
- Go to the My Books page using the option in the top navigation bar.
- Scroll down and select Year in Books to the left of your shelves, under the Your reading activity category.
To view it on the app:
- Visit My Books by searching it on the app’s navigation bar.
- Scroll down to tap on 2023 Year in Books.
Users can also access the book lists for 2022 by selecting Go to Previous Year and navigate to the current year’s list by selecting Go to Next Year.
Goodreads’ recap reveals your reading habits
The My Year in Books feature shows a list of slides consisting of different aspects unique to your reading habit. It includes:
- Total pages you’ve read.
- Number of books you’ve read.
- Shortest book read by you
- Longest book you’ve read
- Average book length in 2023
- Most shelved book
- Least shelved book
- Your average rating for 2023
- Highest rated on Goodreads
- My first review of the year
The My 2023 Books list shows all the books you’ve finished reading over the last 12 months. It is followed by the 2023 Reading Challenge to show if you’ve met your goal by finishing the number of books you had planned to read at the start of this year.
