How to download Twitter bookmarks? Users worry as offices close
Twitter has apparently closed all offices and now, users are wondering if they can download, export or save bookmarks. There’s also the concern if they are public and what happens if the site dies.
After Elon Musk gave employees of his recently-acquired company an ultimatum that they must sign up for “long hours at high intensity,” or walk away from the company, Reuters reports.
This comes just weeks after the SpaceX owner finished his $44 billion acquisition of the company on October 27, making him the owner of the social media site and the richest man in the world with a net worth of approximately $204 Billion.

Twitter offices close
BBC reported Twitter had told its employees that all of the company’s offices would be closed, effective immediately. Workers were also told that the offices would reopen on Monday 21 November.
The Twitter email to employees reportedly went on to say: “Please continue to comply with company policy by refraining from discussing confidential company information on social media, with the press or elsewhere.”
Following Musk’s alleged ultimatum to the company – when he told staff they “need to be extremely hardcore” – “large numbers” of employees are said to have put their notice in to quit working for Twitter.
What happens if Twitter dies
Since the 51-year-old took over the social media app, there has been uncertainty leaving people wondering what happens if Twitter “dies”.
As with the company’s acquisition, shareholders would have to be paid for the stake of each share they owned. It was reported that when Musk took over the site he had taken off the New York Stock exchange, so executives at the company could get a record of everyone who owned shares.
However, if Twitter went bankrupt theUS Securities and Exchange Commissionsays it would be allowed to “recover from crippling debt”, under federal laws.
It didn’t help when Musk took to Twitter to share a meme mocking the death of the site but did say usage was at an all-time high.
How to download your Twitter bookmarks and are they public?
One thing many people want to know is if they’d be able to download, export, and save their Twitter bookmarks if something were to happen or if Twitter “dies”.
Bookmarks let the user save Tweets in a timeline for easy, quick access at any time – with Twitter Blue these bookmarks can then be added to your navigation bar at the bottom of the app. They’re different from lists and if a user is worried if Twitter bookmarks are public, they’re absolutely private for the account user alone.
If this is something a user is worried about they can download or export their Twitter bookmarks and save them for the future
