The fun feature dropped on Thursday, February 29, and all of your questions are answered with songs, which can be played directly on the music streaming app.
What is Song Psychic on Spotify?
The in-built ‘Psychic’ feature on Spotify is created to help you navigate life better with spiritual guidance as it takes you on a “journey of enlightenment”.
The mystical music experience can be achieved by choosing one of many pre-populated questions on the app about a variety of topics.
The psychic will then suggest the “perfect song” to answer any question you ask. You can use the feature as many times as you want, but you can only ask one question at a time.
Users have the option to share their results on social media. The music streaming app was inspired to develop Song Psychic after seeing nearly 250,000 psychic-related playlists globally on Spotify.
How to ask the virtual fortune teller your questions
Follow the below steps to learn to embark on a spiritual musical journey.
- Open spotify.com/songpsychic on your mobile device as the feature doesn’t work on desktop. Make sure you’re logged into your Spotify account.
- Select the topic of your choice from the given options – School, Style, Lunch, Love, Career, Myself, My Future, and more. If you can’t decide, let the psychic pick one for you.
- Type your question in the search tab and pick from the options closest to your search.
- Wait for the Song Psychic to predict your future with a song after submitting your question.
- Once the song appears on your screen, select the Play on Spotify option at the bottom to listen.
