Hospice nurse’s after death theory

Julie McFadden cares for terminally ill patients before they die and helps them and their loved ones understand the process of death.

Speaking on TikTok, the hospice nurse theorized that when she dies, she will go to a place she has “missed for a long time”.

“I think I’m going to go home,” she continued. “It’s a feeling of complete comfort and relief and freedom and joy and complete contentment.”

McFadden said that death will take her to a place where she “belongs” and she often longs for this feeling of contentment in life.

She thinks death is an ultimately positive experience where you move to a place of peace and comfort for eternity.

“I think all my patients have gone there,” she concluded, suggesting that everyone goes to this place no matter who they are.

McFadden said this feeling of peace makes her not afraid of dying and brings comfort that she is going to a better place.

People share their death experiences

In the comments, people are sharing their own experiences surrounding death and many match up to her theory.

One person wrote: “I had a massive stroke. I saw the bright light and left an enormous amount of peace. I didn’t want to come back.”

“I had an experience when I was four years old when a motorcycle hit me, I felt like the universe hugged me I cant explain,” said another.

A third person added: “A lot of my family have had near-death experiences and they all say they felt so cozy, warm and they were going home.”

“I agree. I watched and felt my best friend pass away, and it taught me theres nothing to be afraid of. It is as you describe,” someone else agreed.

We may never know what happens after we die, but the idea that we go to a place of tranquility certainly makes death feel less scary.
