McDonald’s fans can now enjoy their favorite nuggets with an interesting dip as the brand is set to launch its new sauce inspired by its Japanese Garlic Sauce.
Available for a limited time until the stock lasts, the lid designs on the special-grade sauce represent different characters from Jujutsu Kaisen – a popular action anime inspired by manga series.
McDonald’s announces Japanese Garlic Sauce-condiment
McDonald’s partners with the anime series to launch its Special Grade Garlic Sauce, available for a limited time starting July 9.
The press release by the fast food brand notes that the Japanese-influenced garlic sauces can be purchased only through the app.
The new sauce line-up is said to have notes of “garlic and soy sauce, balanced with a slight tangy sweetness.” The latest dip collection is inspired by the iconic Black Garlic Sauce from McDonalds Japan.

The new sauce comes in eight unique lid designs to feature various characters from the anime series – Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Satoru Gojo, Kento Nanami, Suguru Geto, Mahito, Sukuna.
How to order the app-exclusive sauce
There are two ways to grab the McDonald’s Japanese-influenced sauce while ordering it on the app. As the press release states:
- You can get it for free with any order of Chicken McNuggets.
- Or, pair it with your go-to order on the McDonald’s App to make a meal.
Each purchase of the new sauce also comes with a 30-day free trial of Crunchyroll, which features full episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen alongside other anime content.
