Golden Retriever wrapped in lights and ornaments makes the cutest Christmas tree
There couldn’t have been a Christmas tree cuter than a Golden Retriever, which has gone viral for looking like the festival prop.
Yesterday, we showed you 7 videos of dogs acting like humans in 2023. On Christmas day, we chanced upon another adorable clip of a pet pooch that’s caught the attention of millions of TikTok users.
Golden Retriever makes the ‘cutest Christmas tree’
Unlike posts depicting pet pooches and kitties posing by the Christmas tree, which are just as adorable, one viral video shows a Golden Retriever named Rio transformed into the symbolic prop in the cutest way possible.
The clip shared on the TikTok account @besabeqiri has accumulated close to 11 million views and has been met with thousands of comments as users think nothing on the Internet could be as cute as the Golden Retriever-turned-Christmas tree.
The TikTok is only about 12 seconds long and features Rio posing for the camera while wrapped in serial lights with a pink star ornament atop the head. The video is beautifully themed with Neozilla’s Merry Christmas and Happy New Year playing in the background.

Several users spending the festival with their fur babies have taken to TikTok and other platforms to share some of the most heartwarming moments from their celebrations, and Rio’s simple-yet-effective costume of a Christmas tree seems to have topped it all.
Users can’t get enough of the adorable video
Not only have users thanked Rio’s owners for making their celebrations more joyful with the goofy video, but many appear to have drawn inspiration from the same to dress their pets up for the annual holiday.
One user said: “I want to try this on my pet bullie.” Another added: “This made my day.”
A third user called it “the cutest video on the Internet,” while another commented: “OMG. this almost made me cry.”
Expressing slight concern about electric lights being wrapped around the dog, one asked: “Are the lights safe on him? But this is so cute.”
How to celebrate the festival with your fur babies
Not all pets may be as calm as the Golden Retriever if they had to be dressed a certain way to keep up with the theme of the festival, but there are numerous ways you can make the holiday special for your fur babies.
You can bake their favorite snack or make their meals special with extra ingredients so they can enjoy the festival meal as well.
It may be too late for the current year, but going forward, you could have Christmas ornaments shaped like your pets to hang on the tree.
They deserve Christmas presents too. So, you can get Christmas-themed nametags or collars printed for them.
And of course, needless to say, dressing your pet pooch or kitty in a Santa Clause costume is among the cutest of ideas.
